Our aim was to pool our funds and buy an asparagus grader to help growers to market directly to Supermarkets. Our first Geostel grader was bought in 2001 and installed at the packhouse of G W Revill in Pershore, one of our growers.

Since then our business has grown and new growers have entered the group, we bought a second grader in 2009 with the assistance of an Advantage West Midlands Grant Scheme and we now grow and pack several hundred tonnes of asparagus each year.

In 2009 we started our cherry project; we have an ongoing planting and covering plan for our cherry project and picked our first cherry crop in 2012.

We are based in the Heart of England and grow our crops across Oxfordshire, Worcestershire and Shropshire. Our spread of sites gives us a long season and a bit of security for supply when the worst of the British weather hits.

Our group was set up 10 years ago as Western Asparagus Growers Ltd.

We want to make sure that when you buy a fresh British product you’re going to have something great to eat. All our products are hand harvested and delivered to you at the peak of freshness. Each grower uses two accreditation schemes to make sure we are working to the best environmental and horticultural standards.

We use the LEAF marque environmental scheme and we are also certified to the Red Tractor scheme . All our products are graded and packed at the Redstar Packhouse which has BRC and SEDEX accreditation.
