We grow and pack green asparagus between April and July when it’s at its seasonal
best. Alongside our main asparagus crop we also look at unusual types of asparagus
and produce wild asparagus and crimson asparagus which is beautiful red purple spear
and is best eaten raw!
We had our first cherry harvest in the summer of 2012. We have planted a range of
different sweet red varieties from our trial orchard to give a long season of great
quality cherries and we cover all our crops to make sure that we can keep the worst
of our summer rains off the delicate fruit.
The fruit of each variety of cherry is at its best for just a fewdays. So to get
the best quality over the short British season we have planted a range of 20 different
varieties so each can be picked at their peak.
